When I try and start edge I get this error:
Error code: STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH
When I go and look into this error via Event Viewer this is what I get
Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe) attempted to load \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\sysfer.dll that did not meet the Microsoft signing level requirements.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?

This is a known issue in some situations. There is a detailed explanation with suggested remedies here: https://textslashplain.com/2019/09/27/aw-snap-every-tab-crashes/ (The author is a senior program manager on the Edge team.)
tl;dr
Security software (e.g. third-party anti-virus) is the most likely cause. of this error. Update any security software you have to the latest version.
I have the same issue. I brought a new laptop. Everything was working fine and after the update it stopped working.

I don't have any antivirus installed in my computer. How do I resolve the issue?
I am able to run chrome in sandbox mode but it does not work in normally as well. Rest all of the things are connected to Internet. Microsoft is also working fine. Ping is also giving positive result.
I have also tried resetting the PC with full wipe but the problem is still present. It's driving me crazy.

The offending file - sysfer.dll - is part of Symantec's security (firewall or anti-virus) software solutions. Please make sure that all remnants of Symantec programs have been removed if you no longer use them. If you had Symantec Endpoint Protection earlier, see here: Download the CleanWipe removal tool to uninstall Endpoint Protection (broadcom.com)
Hi,
Yes, the problem was with the Norton/Symantec. I removed and installed a new version and the issue was resolved.
