trying to install and play minecraft but at first it said i need to install java runtime, i tried this and i was able to load the start up page.

if anyone has played minecraft the "starter" page or launcher allows you to log in and displays the latest news and updates, i logged in and it came up with the mojang loading screen, but before it came to the games menu screen the application closed down and a new file appears on my screen entitled hs_err_pid1464. this is a text documen containing lots of comands, but from what i understand from reading it is : a fatal error has been detected and then underneath something about exeption_stack_overflow. not sure what any of this means but quite unhappy how i bought this game and cant play it. if anyone has had similar problems, recognises what Exeption_stack_overflow means or is good with computers and has any tips then please respond, thank you,

    Hi,

Are you playing this game online? If yes, which web browser are you using?

You can try to uninstall java and re-install the latest version then check the status.
