Hello,
Thank you for your response.
Rather than send through student data, I have recreated the issue with a new sample. See attached.

I have a form header with student ID, question ID, and a place to put in marks earned. Form Recognizer does a good job of identifying the Student ID and Question ID to be scanned, but it has more trouble with a handwritten mark. It's not that it can't read the handwriting - it's that it doesn't recognize that the number should be tagged in the first place.
See picture below. Student ID on left (has been changed) is tagged, as is the Question ID ("301" on the Right). The number 1 written in the box on the top right is not taggable. This seems to happen more often with 1s than with curved numbers like 3.
Is there a way to tell Form Analyzer to identify the point earned in the box so that it can be tagged?
My aim is to be able to scan a whole series of student work and have Form Recognizer identify the points for each question and student and record it rather than having to enter all the points manually.
I am using a 2.1 and training a custom model.
May thanks for any insights.

Thanks a lot for the sample. I've forwarded this sample to product team for more investigation and fixing.
