Azure Maps County API

Question

We are using the "Azure Maps Account" to show what counties are associated with a postal/zip code i.e. 55125 returns Washington...some postal/zip codes are returning no counties i.e. 30596 should return Habersham. Is there an issue with the API? Are we not using it correctly?

Zip code 30596 isn't a valid US zip code according to the USPS. I do see some older tools appear to have this zip code in their data, but the USPS says its no valid (maybe its an old zip code that is no longer used).

Also note that zip codes can often cross two or more counties, and thus it is not standard to assign a single county to a zip code result.
