Microsoft Authenticator App not working correctly with iOS 16.3.1

I am trying to use the Outlook App via the Microsoft Authenticator App on an iPhone 14 Pro running iOS 16.3.1. (work account, not personal). It has been running fine, then all of a sudden it will not allow me access to the Outlook App unless I am connected to my work WI-FI. Once I switch to Mobile Data, it will stay connected for a while (up to approx. 1hr) then will ask me to sign in. Unless I am connected to work WI-FI then Microsoft Authenticator will not work to allow me into my emails. It will show me a screen with the 2 digit security code, but then take me nowhere from this screen. If I click back to Outlook, i just see a screen saying "oops, something when wrong". I need to stay connected whilst away from work WI-FI but I cannot work out how to fix this.
