Snooze function in outlook browser

Hello, i have been using the snooze function. If I snooze an email thread with multiple emails then when it pops back up into my inbox it counts each indiviual email and then the value in my inbox looks much higher than it is. It is very frustrating.

In the settings I have it grouping the emails. If I choose to not group the emails its also annoying with the snooze funtion because then I have to first send the email, go to sent inbox, move that email to inbox, and only then can I snooze it.

In the past I used Gmail, the snooze function works much better there as it only counts the grouped emails as 1.

Does anyone know of a way to use snooze in outlook so that it only counts as 1 new email when it reappears into the inbox? Thanks

    Hi Stan,

Thanks a lot for your reply and help.

I have already tried the 'show each message separately', but that doesn't work, it makes even more work for me. Because once I do a reply, I have to go into my sent inbox, then move the email into 'inbox' so that I can snooze it. But if I get a reply in the meantime, I would have to go find my 'snoozed' email and unsnooze it. I don't know if this makes sense to you.

Summary, I need to keep the emails grouped because there is a lot of back and forth.

    I'll contact the devs.

    Best,

    Claire

    Dear Claire_070,

Thanks for reaching out to us here in Microsoft Community.

After reading, I have a general idea of your problem.

When you try to snooze an email thread, you actually snooze all emails in the thread at the same time. This is the design.

I have a suggestion for you:

If you want to snooze a single email, you can change the view settings: click View - Conversations - Show each message seperately, then all the emails in a thread will be displayed in your list, and you can choose to snooze the most recent one, which not only ensures that when the single email returns to your inbox, only one email will be counted, but also ensures that you can view the entire thread.

Of course, after performing the snooze operation, you can also change the setting back to Group Into Conversations, If you feel that displaying each email individually will make your email list too cluttered.

I know this will work but it's still a bit cumbersome. Sorry any inconvenience, if you want to share this issue with the development team, you can also choose Feedback from the Help tab of the Outlook ribbon to report this problem or click this link Outlook · Community

I hope my suggestions are helpful to you.
