Word document changes format when printing

Hi,

I have an issue with my word document, it seems to be two pages however when I try to print it, it reduces the size of the document and adds a blank page after each page. I checked the settings and the print layout is set on 1 page only, not two, and there are no page breaks between each page.

Moreover, when I save the document in a pdf format, it puts the two pages in one.

I tried everything but it seems like nothing works.

Thank you in advance,

Regards.

Hi MN3210,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

To troubleshoot the issue and see if it's related to your printer, you may try following ways:

1.Update the printer driver to the latest version.

2.Try to remove the current printer from your Mac and then add it back. Go to System Preferences>Printers & Scanners>select your printer and click remove( - sign ). Click the + sign to add it back. Print the document in Word and check the outcome.

3.If it's convenient and possible, try to add a different printer and set it as the default printer, go to Word and print the document to check the outcome.

Please also ensure you are using the latest version 16.47 of Word for Mac. You may update Office via Help menu>Check for Updates.

In addition, to narrow down if it's only happening in a specific document, may I know if you have tried to print a different document? I suggest you create a new document, copy content from the original one and paste content in the new document, see if issue still happens.

If issue persists, could you please confirm information below?

1.From screenshots, it seems you are opening the document in multiple pages. If you open the document in one page by clicking View tab>click "One Page", does issue still happen when you print document?

2.What is your macOS version?

Thanks for your time and patience.😊

Best Regards,

Tina

Do you have an odd-page or even-page section break between your two pages?
