Enter Button while using the iPad Word app, doesn't work

When I try to use my iPad in Word with a hardware keyboard, Enter does not do anything.

Shift+Enter works.

On-screen Enter works.

It's just the hardware key doesn't and only in Word.

    Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.

    What is the current system version of your iPad? Have you installed the latest version of Word? I tested the latest version of Word on iPadOS 17.7 with a hardware keyboard and did not reproduce the issue. Pressing Enter should insert a line break, while Shift+Enter inserts a soft line break, and Ctrl+Enter opens a menu where you can manually select to insert a line break.

    Could this be related to your keyboard layout? Is your keyboard layout Mac or Windows? Could you try connecting other types of hardware keyboards to test?
