Xbox app android problem

I have two problems with the xbox app on my android phone,When I click on the message box it becomes invisible so I cannot see what I am typing and second problem is that messaging notification is not working so if a friend messages i don't get a notification but sometimes I will get notification,So I tried different steps like clear data and cache then I unstalled the xbox app and I reinstalled the xbox app and I have restarted my android phone and none of those steps worked,So is anything else I can try to fix the two problems?
