Hi

I would like to use SQL server in a Non Productive environment., looking for free edition for testing and development. I will connect to the database for POC only, example with Power Automate. I am an independent developer. I would like to show case to clients. Is this possible?

If so, can I have the link. Thanks,

Rgds

Hi @Jaweed Lallmahomed ,

Yes, you can, Microsoft offers the SQL Server developer edition, which is a free and full-featured version of SQL Server licensed specifically for development and testing in non-production environments. It includes all the capabilities of the enterprise edition, so it's perfect for building proof-of-concepts (POCs), demos and testing integrations like with power automate.

Futures of SQL server developer edition.

  1. Free to use for development, testing and showcasing to clients.
  2. Not licensed for production use.
  3. Ideal for independent developers and small teams.

Use the bellow thread for reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/124164/can-we-install-sql-server-developer-edition-in-our?utm_source=chatgpt.com

You can download it directly from Microsoft official site.

Thanks,
Akhil.
