I am really struggling with the lack of support from Microsoft. An amount has been taken from my bank account annually for the last two years and Microsoft cannot tell me what it's for. It's linked to an outllook email that I don't recognise at all ( the Microsoft chat person gave me a prompt but it wasn't an email I recognised even though it's linked to my debit card apparently. None of the options in support match what I need and even asking a question here asks for me to say which software the question applies to and I have no idea! I tried to do an account recovery but then got an email saying they will support recovery of my main log in email/username which I don't need. It seems like microsoft don't acrually have a credible suppprt function. I am lost for what to do aside from raise it as a fraudulent withdrawal from my bank account.

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this, if you do not recall having this Microsoft account then chances are your account got compromised or this particular payment method that you are using got compromised as well.
If there is no other subscription that is present on your account this means that the payment method or the card that you are using got caught somewhere from the last time that you have used it and this has caused an unauthorized charge and in this case it is best to reach out to the bank to block and replace your card to avoid additional or future unwanted charge/s.
It is also a good measure to temporarily lock it from the bank's website or the bank's mobile app to ensure that you will not have an unauthorized charge while this is still being figured out.
Kindly take note that the forum does not have access to user accounts to be able to check this billing side of things and you can reach out to the support team at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ and then click on Microsoft 365 and then click Get Home Support and then type in Billing question and click the blue button that says Sign in to contact Support and login and proceed from there or you can also request a call back by going to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2168171 in case you are having trouble cancelling and getting a refund.
