    Hi Ravi Shankar,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Low FPS is not always caused by a faulty driver alone. It can also be affected by Windows graphics settings, power mode, background activity, or the game running on the wrong GPU. Since some update and driver steps were already suggested in the thread, please try these additional checking steps:

1, Set the PC to Best performance

    • Go to Settings > System > Power & battery
    • Change Power mode to Best performance (if available)

2, Force the game to use the High-performance GPU

    • Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics
    • Select the game, then choose Options
    • Set it to High performance and save

3, Turn on Optimizations for windowed games

    • Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics
    • Enable Optimizations for windowed games
    • Restart the game

4, Close unnecessary background apps - Background apps and startup programs can reduce available CPU, memory, and disk resources during gaming.

    • Open Task Manager
    • Close apps you are not using
    • Check the Startup apps tab and disable non-essential items

5, Check available storage space - Low free space can also affect overall system performance.

    • Make sure the system drive is not close to full
    • If needed, remove temporary files or unused apps

6, Lower the in-game graphics settings temporarily

    • Reduce resolution, shadows, textures, and effects
    • Test the FPS again

If performance improves after lowering settings, the issue may be related to the current hardware limit or game configuration. If the issue continues after trying the above, please share the PC model, graphics card, RAM, and the name of the game affected so more targeted guidance can be provided. I hope one of these steps helps improve performance.

You indicate your graphics driver is bad, I need some information about your system hardware to provide you with a solution.

    1

Right click your Start Button and open Device Manager.

    Expand the 'Display Adapters' section.

Please provide a screenshot of that full Device Manager window.

    2

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

To improve FPS and make graphics performance better on Windows, start by updating or reinstalling the graphics driver and installing all Windows updates.

    1. Install Windows and driver updates
    • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
    • Install all available updates.
    • Then select View optional updates under Windows Update and install any available driver or graphics-related optional updates.
    1. Update the graphics driver from Device Manager
    • Press and hold (or right-click) the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display adapters.
    • Press and hold (or right-click) the graphics device and select Properties.
    • Go to the Driver tab and select Update Driver.
    • Select Search automatically for updated driver software and complete the process.
    1. If FPS is still low, reinstall the graphics driver
    • In Device Manager, right-click the graphics device and select Uninstall > OK.
    • After it uninstalls, right-click the PC name at the top of the device list and select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.
    • Open the device Properties again and on the General tab check Device status shows “This device is working properly.”
    1. Get the latest driver from the GPU manufacturer
    • Identify the GPU under Device Manager > Display adapters (for example, AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, or Qualcomm).
    • Use the manufacturer’s driver download page listed in the documentation to download and install the latest driver for that GPU, following the on-screen instructions.

After updating/reinstalling the graphics driver and Windows, FPS in games should improve if the hardware is capable. If performance is still low, lower in‑game graphics settings (resolution, textures, shadows, effects) and close background apps to reduce system load.
