In 2019 this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3217466/caps-lock-behavior-setting question remained without answer. What a shame!

There is an answer, you can find it here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/4050148/to-undo-caps-lock-i-have-to-press-shift

So if anyone has the same question, now you know the answer.

    Hi Ladurner, Berthold,

Thank you for sharing this solution.

For anyone else looking for this setting in Windows 11, you can check it from Settings > Time & language > Typing > Advanced keyboard settings > Language bar options > Advanced Key Settings. From there, you can choose whether Caps Lock is turned off by pressing Shift or by pressing Caps Lock itself.

This is helpful context for users who may come across the older thread and are still searching for the same option. Thanks again for taking the time to come back and share it with the community. Since this thread does not contain any questions, I will lock this thread

Thank you for your time and hope you have a great day
