I want to publish a couple Desktop .Net Framework 4.8 Apps on the Windows Store. The WinStore package create instructions say the app download url I provide must be a secure link (ssl/https). Is that a hard requirement?

My web site does NOT use https. It's all public content. There is no user login and product purchase is done via Paypal payments which is secure.

Hello,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

First of all, please note that MSI and EXE support in the Microsoft Store is currently in a limited public preview phase.

Based on the document here: Provide package details for your MSI or EXE app, it says You must enter at least one versioned secure URL pointing to app package (MSI/EXE) hosted on your CDN.. This is required if you want to upload your MSI or EXE app to the Microsoft Store.

Thank you.
