    Here’re some tips for you to troubleshooting the issue.
    1.Click Workflows in the items tab.
    2.Click the workflow that shows error, then end this workflow.
    3.Go to list, check whether the workflow column of items shows terminated. Or Go to workflow history list (http://sp/sites/site collection name /Lists/Workflow%20History/AllItems.aspx) to check workflow failed on which item.
    4.Try to remove the workflow from the list then re-associate the list.
