SSRS Report History Snapshot not showing after updating report

Hi,

I've updated my SSRS report (I've replaced the .rdl file with the updated one) but now the history snapshot is empty. Old snapshots are gone. Is this normal when you update a report?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Space92

You said that you had replaced the .rdl file.

Do you mean that you delete the old report on the server and upload/deploy the newest report? If yes, report history is also deleted when you delete a report.

You may try to save the latest report via the report builder or Visual Studio directly and then the history snapshot will be there.

If I misunderstand your meaning, could you please help check if you save the latest report directly will the history snapshot disappears.

    For reference:https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/report-server/create-modify-and-delete-snapshots-in-report-history?view=sql-server-ver15#modifying-properties-and-deleting-report-history

    Regards,

    Zoe
