If the information was double spaced it saves not double spaced, if it was in Times New Roman it goes back to Arial and it shifts all to a 4th of the page in the left hand corner

    Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please tell me what version of Word are you using now?

    Backup files firstly.

Do the issues occur when you save individual document or all documents? Do they occur when you open word documents or any other Microsoft Office programs?

If there are issues in Word only:
If they occur when you save individual documents:
 Check if there is enough space in the location where the document is saved. If there isn’t, change the location.
     Repair the document.
In the "File" tab, click the "Open" button to open the "Open" dialog box, select the workbook that needs to be repaired, click the drop-down button on the right side of the "Open" button, and select "Open and Repair" command.

If they occur when you save all documents: open other Microsoft Office programs to check if there are any similar issues in them.
 Open a blank word document, after opening the blank document, enter the content you want to edit or the content you want to enter, click [File] at the top of the upper menu bar, and click [Save As] in the drop-down menu, in the ‘Save As’ dialog box, select the path you need to save and then check the ‘Save as type’ to see if you save Word document as plain text format(*.txt),if so, it only saves text without formatting.
     Delete word template file.
     Copy command: %appdata%\microsoft\templates
 Start → Run → Paste the command copied above → OK
 In the opened directory, find and delete Normal.dot, and then re-run Word

If there are similar issues in other Microsoft Office programs:
    Repair Office

In which view are documents opening? If you see them in Read Mode, formatting would be different from the printed output.
