EMB324 - Automating your XP Embedded build processes

Have you been dreaming about automating the XPe runtime build process in place of using Target Designer for everything? Do you prefer to script everything possible? There's a little known utility that ships with XPe that allows you to automate a lot of the End to End process. This session will focus on speeding your development process by showing you how to automate common tasks such as updating runtime configurations, importing components and building runtimes. We will take a look at some of the scripts and utilities that can be leveraged to reduce your development turn-around time.

Have you built serviceability into your XP Embedded device? Device Update Agent is a light-weight servicing option for XP Embedded devices. This session will explore this Embedded Enabling Feature in more detail, focusing on the End to End process to configure DUA in Target Designer, authoring the update scripts and some Tips and Tricks on managing the back end processes that host the update packages. We will also look at how you can simplify the package creation processes by using the DUAScriptGen utility.

EMB317 - How to componentize 3rd party Drivers and Applications for XPe devices

This will explain how you can componentize 3rd party drivers & apps and provide you with some best practices, advice, hacks and workarounds to what you may have considered an 'unsolvable puzzle'. Includes lessons learned componentizing applications, INFs, Fonts, driver packages from 3rd parties, Dev Tools required to perform Boundary Analysis and much more. We'll also take your questions on specific apps or drivers you're trying to componentize today, feel free to bring us the challenges you're having and we'll discuss them as well (during and after the session).
EMB203 - Introduction to XP Embedded

We'll provide a high level overview of the XP Embedded platform and walk you through the 3 major deliverables: The Development Tools, The Windows Components, The Embedded Enabling Features. We will also provide some basic demonstrations of those features.
