One of the great things about developing new software at Microsoft is working with the folks in MS IT (formerly OTG, ITG, ...) who develop/manage our internal apps. They have a passion for dogfooding that really makes the products better. We didn't used to talk much about this in public until IT Forum a couple of years back when there was an entire MS IT track. Currently there are articles on MS IT and SQL Server in SQL Server Magazine and also on Microsoft.com;
Overview of SQL Server 2005 Usage
Document Management and SQL Server 2005
Encryption and SQL Server 2005
Revenue Analysis and SQL Server 2005
