There is great value in delving into detail, of course. With all of the elements in WordML- I have my work cut out for me. But, I am enjoying the journey. The last few posts I have done relate to how lists are spelled out in WordProcessingML. Yesterday, I showed how the <w:lvl> element works. I showed that by messing around with it's sub-elements, I can change how the lists look. I changed level 9 from roman numeric to arabic. The default is arabic numerals. But, you can change to Cardinal, Ordinal, or even Hex!
<w:lvl w:ilvl="8" w:tplc="0409001B" w:tentative="on">
<w:start w:val="1" />
<w:nfc w:val="2" />
It's specified in the <w:nfc> element. You set a numeric value that corresponds to the type of numbering you want. Here, it is a 2 which is for cardinal. The list goes 0 to 59. The last one is Upper-Case Russian! Yeah!
If you haven't downloaded the Microsoft Office 2003 Reference Schemas, you should.
Rock Thought for the day: MSN is gradually winning me over. I love MSN Music. This morning I grabbed Rage Against the Machine, Foo Fighters, and the obligatory song by Bush: Glycerine. What a song. I purchased the songs via Windows Media Player 10. It was too easy. Too easy for my pocket book to handle. I need to be careful.
Rock on
