Working from home presents challenges and opportunity. It sounds like it would be a great thing - and it is in a lot of ways. But, sometimes I just have to get out to work, and in those times it is usually helpful to have internet access. Also, when I'm traveling and in between meetings - again, another time that I could use WiFi.
It turns out that Microsoft has a hotspot locator - MSN WiFi Hotspot Locator. Enter in a location, a search distance, and whether your looking for free and/or paid locations. Bam!
One can also enter a wireless hotspot - for free! (They limit the entries to public places, not private residences.) This service is backed by JWire, a popular hotspot database.
