The Grand Canyon is simply amazing (if a little chilly at this time of year). If you ever get the chance, go see it. It was fun driving out there after we landed on Friday but it's a long old way (about 600 miles round trip) so the first leg of the journey was tough having just got off a plane.
We'd also hired a convertible which, given the amount of snow we saw, probably wasn't a wise choice. We did get the roof down a few times but mainly it was roof up, heating on. Thanks to TripAdvisor we picked a couple of good places to stay - I can recommend the Bright Angel Lodge in Grand Canyon Village and the Rodeway Inn & Suites Downtowner in Williams.
