Capture Screenshots: Windows key + S key

All along I’ve been using this cumbersome process to capture a portion of my screen:

Print Screen Key

Paste to Paint

Crop picture in Paint

Cut/paste to email or save

Today I accidentally ran across the Window+S shortcut which allows me to capture a portion of my screen and pastes it automatically to the clipboard and to OneNote.

Warning – this may be available only in Windows Vista Ultimate, not sure

ETA:  Thanks everyone for the feedback!  Alfred tested this for us and it is actually a OneNote 2007 feature and works in Vista and XP.

  This is OneNote Command no a windows command.

  This is a OneNote 2007 feature. I tested it on XP and it works there are well. It wasn't there with previous versions of OneNote - I tested that too. The option I use a lot with Vista is the Snipping tool. I have it on my launch bar so I can get to it easily. I especially love it for capturing a window but it is also great for part of the screen.

  Yes. Keep OneNote active in your SystemTray and you can take easy screenshots with WindowsKey + s. Saves tons of time. Good luck.

  I don't know what to hit to delete ALL of my incoming e-mail.  I can delete one at a time but the whole lot

  doesn't work on windows 10 - whats the alternative ?
