At the Analyst Event last week I was asked more than once about the File Classification Infrastructure. As it was something I never looked into the details, I started from the blog post I wrote mid May File Classification Infrastructure in Windows Server 2008 R2 and just wanted to collect some information about it. If you are interested, there are a few really good posts/sites in this respect:
- Classifying files based on location and content using the File Classification Infrastructure (FCI) in Windows Server 2008 R2
- Windows Server 2008 R2 File Classification Infrastructure – Managing data based on business value
- TechNet Webcast: File Classification in Windows Server 2008 R2
- File Classification Infrastructure - TechNet Webcast available online
- File Classification Infrastructure (FCI) - Classification and policy – the separation of …
- File types the Content Classifier can search on a new Windows Server 2008 R2 install
They are all from the same blog
