Mini-Code Camp Called because of blizzard

It is with great regret that we have made the decision to cancel today’s Mini-Code Camp. The state has requested that people stay of the roads because of snow drifts and blizzard conditions. Safety is one of the most important concerns that we have in making this decision. We will look forward to rescheduling this at a later date.

If you are in the Waltham area and the weather clears this afternoon. Please let either myself or Carl know.

I look forward to the rescheduled event and testing of your pilot for the wireless feedback sessions.

I am glad that you made the right decision. Personally I think that the decision was made for you when the Governor, the ultimate authority in the State, yesterday declared a state of emergency and asked people to plan on staying off the roads unless their work required it. Code Camp is not a hospital or nursing home. It was yesterday, and not 6:45am today, that the announcement should have been posted.

I'm glad the code camp got cancelled but, after asking if the code camp was going to be canceled due to the weather and being told it would not be I’m disappointed. I traveled long distance before the storm and now wasted hotel and fuel charges for an event that should have been cancelled. Well I guess it's my fault for coming down anyhow. I'm glad I took tomorrow of from work before hand this way the drive home will be worry free. Good thing the hotel has internet access, I can at least do some work. :). Hopefully MSFT will cancel events in due time next time.
