Calculates the cross product of two vectors.
public:
static double CrossProduct(System::Windows::Vector vector1, System::Windows::Vector vector2);
public static double CrossProduct (System.Windows.Vector vector1, System.Windows.Vector vector2);
static member CrossProduct : System.Windows.Vector * System.Windows.Vector -> double
Public Shared Function CrossProduct (vector1 As Vector, vector2 As Vector) As Double
Parameters
- vector1
- Vector
The first vector to evaluate.
- vector2
- Vector
The second vector to evaluate.
Returns
The cross product of vector1
and vector2
. The following formula is used to calculate the cross product:
(Vector1.X * Vector2.Y) - (Vector1.Y * Vector2.X)
Examples
The following example shows how to use this method to calculate the cross product of two Vector structures.
private Double crossProductExample()
{
Vector vector1 = new Vector(20, 30);
Vector vector2 = new Vector(45, 70);
Double crossProduct;
// crossProduct is equal to 50
crossProduct = Vector.CrossProduct(vector1, vector2);
return crossProduct;
}
