Upgrade Commerce Server 2002 Starter Site Databases

This topic contains the steps that you must follow to upgrade your Commerce Server 2002 starter site databases.

To upgrade the Commerce Server 2002 Starter Site databases

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 , point to Tools, and then click Upgrade Wizard.

  2. On the Welcome to the Commerce Server 2007 Upgrade Wizard page, click Next.

  3. On the Select Options page, click Next.

  4. On the Upgrade Global Resources page, under the Action column, select Migrate for CS Authentication and Profiles items, select Delete for Predictor items, and then click Next.

  5. On the Select a Site page, select CS2002StarterSite, and then click Next.

  6. On the Upgrade Site Resources page, under the Action column, select Delete for BDSecurty and CS2002StarterSiteBizDesk, and Migrate for all other items except Data Warehouse, and then click Next.

  7. On the Marketing Configuration Settings page, click Next.

  8. On the Orders Configuration Settings page, click Next.

  9. On the Analyze Resources page, click Next.

  10. On the Upgrade Summary page, click Next.

  11. On the Upgrade Process page, when the upgrade has completed, click Next.

  12. On the Summary page, click Next.

  13. On the Completing the Upgrade Wizard page, click Finish.

  14. Open a Windows command prompt, change to the %COMMERCE_SERVER_ROOT%\Upgrade directory, and then run the following commands to update the Data Warehouse database:

    dwupdatetables <servername> CS2002StarterSite_DataWarehouse
    dwupdatedimension <servername> <analysis server name>
