Application Gateway WAFv2+ Firewall ?

Hello everyone... I have an AKS cluster where we have the production system (web) with "ingress application gateway" and the gateway has only "Web application firewall" Standard V2 activated.

To give you greater security, WAF V2 should be activated. Should we add a Firewall to further increase security?

We need to block more than anything the possible attacks that could come from the outside, since from the inside out we would not block practically anything, so we would be using about half of its functions.

If we activate the "WAF V2", will it really be necessary to add the Firewall?

Si tu objetivo es proteger el tráfico que va hacia la aplicación, con la configuración del WAF v2 es suficiente.

El Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) protege las aplicaciones web en Azure frente a técnicas comunes de ataque web y vulnerabilidades de seguridad. Aunque no se asocia directamente con una capa específica del modelo OSI, su función se relaciona principalmente con la capa de aplicación y, en ciertos aspectos, con la capa de red.
