Hi!! It's been around six months since my PC randomly freezes and loops the audio in an awful way all of a sudden, I red that It could've been the bios and that i had to update it. In trying so I ended up breaking the whole motherboard. With this new issue I was obligated to buy a new motherboard and I took the opportunity to upgrade to a new CPU in hopes that it would solve the issue. Turns out that it still happens, and I have no clue about what to do now. Can anyone land me a hand with this?

Please clarify the following:

After you changed your motherboard, did you perform a clean install of Windows, or did you continue using the system that was already installed?

Also, please see if your computer created minidump files.

These files are in C:\Windows\Minidump.

(If you don't have a Minidump folder, check if it is in the plural Minidumps.)

Copy any files you have to your desktop and store them in a ZIP file. Then, upload the ZIP file to the cloud (OneDrive), choose to share it, and get the link.

Then, post the link to the ZIP file here so I can have a look.

Hi David, thanks for responding on such short notice!
I can't seem to find anywere the minidump file on my C disk. Also, I did not perform a clean install of windows.

Windows is excellent at adapting to hardware changes, but I've seen it more than once exhibit instability problems after replacing a motherboard or CPU without a clean install. It seems that some remnants of the old motherboard or CPU remain in the system and negatively impact it. Therefore, the problem persisting after the motherboard replacement may be related to this.

However, I would like to investigate a little further and suggest some procedures before concluding that you need to perform a clean install.

In this case, please export and share the log for analysis:

Press Windows + X and select Event Viewer;

Expand Windows Logs and select System;

In the Actions panel on the right, select Filter Current Log;

In Event level, check the boxes Critical, Warning, and Error and click on Ok;

Again, in the Actions panel, select Save Filtered Log File As and save in an easily accessible place.

Then, upload the file to the cloud (OneDrive), choose to share it, and get the link.

Post the link to the file here so I can have a look.

I haven't found an error that could be related to the issue. Only the entries that say the shutdown was not expected and "Event 41 Kernel-Power". However, these entries are registered in all types of abrupt system shutdowns. Therefore, they are not entries that help identify the cause of the problem. Also, the WHEA-Logger event does not show data that helps to find the cause.

I will suggest a procedure for updating essential drivers and possibly firmware. But for that, I need more information about your device.

Please share a screenshot of your system information.

Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.
