As you know, the team has been very busy working on controls for the upcoming Silverlight 2 Beta 1 release.

Thanks for all the great work on the AJAX Control Toolkit. This MSDN Forum post seems to answer a question I was wondering about regarding whether I should download the Toolkit source code and rebuild in release mode: http://forums.asp.net/p/1206368/2113696.aspx#2113696 I think it might be helpful to add some guidelines regarding this to the Toolkit setup instructions.

martillo, Thanks for the suggestion! I've looked again now and I agree that we could be clearer about how the JavaScript comment removal process works. I've just opened work item 15331 to track this request: http://www.codeplex.com/AtlasControlToolkit/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=15531 As you probably discovered by now, the current implementation only removes comments from JavaScript files when the Toolkit is compiled in Release (vs. Debug) mode. The reason for this is that compilation in Debug mode suggests that active debugging is going on and so the developer probably wants to benefit from all the comments and legibility of the original source code - Release is typically set once everything is working and it's time to publish to a live web site. Hope this helps!

I'm slowly recovering from keynoting at MIX last week, and have been digging my way out of backlogged

Hi Delay, I just noticed your reply to my post (I didn't have notifications enabled - they are now). I just wanted to say thanks for adding the work item.
