DrRez Blog Bids Farewell

The DrRez blog, community channel for the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Resource Kit and Lync Server 2010 technical reference articles is retiring. All articles currently posted to the DrRez blog will migrate to NextHop in April 2013. Lync Server 2013 technical reference content will be available later this spring in the Lync Server 2013 Technical Library.

Note, however, that DrRez on Facebook and DrRez on Twitter will still be there for you—as the continuing voice for the NextHop Community on those channels.

It is with some sadness that we are announcing the retirement of the DrRez blog, which launched in June 2010 for the primary purpose of showcasing the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Resource Kit and the secondary purpose of creating a community channel for a continuing stream of Lync Server technical reference articles.

All articles currently posted to the DrRez blog will migrate to NextHop in April 2013. Lync Server 2013 technical reference content will be available later this spring in the Lync Server 2013 Technical Library .

In closing this chapter of our community content strategy, we are proud to say that as of February 2013, the DrRez blog ranks in the top 4% of all Microsoft TechNet blogs and has garnered nearly 500,000 page views since its launch.

In addition, downloads of Resource Kit chapters reached 250,000 in February 2013, well exceeding sales of previous versions of the print book. Our strategy to make the Lync Server Resource Kit available to customers at no cost was clearly the right approach.

We can’t say goodbye without thanking the cast of dedicated writers, technical reviewers, and editors that made the DrRez blog a trusted channel of Lync deep-dive, technical reference content. Without these folks, our dream to create and sustain this important channel could not have become a reality:

Andreas Strebel, Andrew Sniderman, Bernd Ott, Brandon Bernier, Brandon Taylor, Brian R. Ricks, Byron Spurlock, Chris Norman, Cindy Kwan, Curtis Johnstone, Dhigha Sekaran, Dustin Hannifin, Faruk Celik, Francois Doremieux, Frédéric Dubut, Geoff Clark, Hong Sodoma, Indranil Dutta, Janet Lowen, Jared Gradle, Jeff Schertz, Jerome Bernier, Jim Bradley, John Johnson, Kangmo Kim, Keith Hanna, Kelly Fuller Blue, Kent Tilger, Kurt De Ding, Lei Hua, Michele Martin, Mike Adkins, Mike Sneeringer, Mike Wood, Mitch Duncan, Namendra Kumar, Okan Gurer, Paul Adams, Philipp Beck, Rahul Indurkar, Riccardo Trocca, Rick Kingslan, Rick Varvel, Rob Pittfield, Roy Kuntz, Rui Maximo, Sam Gantner, Sankaran Narayanan, Sasa Juratovic, Scott Stubberfield, Seth Paul, Stéphane Cavin, Subbu Chandrasekaran, Susan S.
