Updates to MSDN, TechNet, and Expression
The past year has just flown by at such a rate that things around here on my blog have become a bit neglected. What better time than today to give some updates about this blog? (I'm still super busy, but I just can't leave my blog in this state any longer.)
First, you may have read many of my previous posts that were related to an online Social Bookmarking application I helped build for MSDN in 2008. Unfortunately, this application was retired and now many of my links and posts are no longer relevant. Rather than clean them out, I thought I'd explain things here instead. The Social Bookmarking application was retired last year and is not being replaced. I hope this hasn't caused anybody out there too much trouble.
Since then, I've been working on some other projects for the same team. Last summer, we released updated versions of three Gallery applications, Visual Studio Gallery, Expression Gallery, and TechNet Script Center. I also lead the effort to implement the re-branding of the MSDN look-and-feel for our Forums, Search, and Profile applications. This was a very large project, but has been quite rewarding and an excellent release.
Keep an eye out here and I'll post more updates soon when new projects are released. I hope everybody is enjoying the Gallery releases and the newly re-designed MSDN site. There is more to come!
