SPS2010 Database moved from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint Foundation 2010
Symptoms
When you create a new site in a SharePoint Foundation 2010 site, you get the
following error message :
"Error
Object reference not set to an instance of an
object.
Correlation ID: <id>
Date and
Time: <datetime>"
Cause
The database for the web application has been moved from a
MOSS 2007 environment to a SharePoint Foundation 2010 environment
Resolution
Go to Site actions--> Site settings --> Site Content types
Click on the "Document" content type
Remove the following workflows associated with the "Document" content type
:
- Approval
- Collect Feedback
- Collect Signatures
