TechEd NZ Tickets & Earlybird Pricing

UPDATE SOLD OUT OF EARLYBIRD - 11/5/2007

As I write this we have only really just started the full demand generation phase for TechEd 2007.  Our first real newsletters (eDM's) to promote the event just went out earlier in the week.

TechEd is big for us in NZ spread over 3 days with over 2000 attendees, 120 sessions, 70 presenters, 80 Hands-on-lab PC's and one heck of a party!

This year we will stop selling the Earlybird tickets after the first 1,000 tickets are sold - this is designed to give the event budget some additional predictability and to ensure that we don't sell out all in Earlybird (which was an unexpected side effect of the addition of corporate tickets to the Earlybird offer last year :)).

As of today we had sold around 850 tickets to the event. That's huge, it does mean that we expect to sell out of Earlybird tickets soon (days not weeks).   I try not to call a date for selling out the event but suffice to say there is a sweepstake running in the office.

If you want to go to TechEd then now is the time to buy your ticket at the discounted price.  The full price tickets are still great value (I know I own the budget and it's _tight_ but we all love to save a few $$$.
