En el ejemplo siguiente se muestra un método para crear un servidor de canalización que pueda responder a varias solicitudes de cliente simultáneas y un método para la suplantación de cliente. En este ejemplo se crea un NamedPipeServerStream objeto en un proceso primario, que luego crea varios subprocesos que esperan NamedPipeClientStream a que los objetos se conecten. Una vez conectado un cliente, proporciona un nombre de archivo al servidor y el contenido de ese archivo se leen y devuelven al cliente. Dado que el cliente NamedPipeServerStream suplanta al abrir el archivo, el cliente solo puede solicitar archivos que tenga permisos suficientes para abrir.

Los permisos del cliente de conexión se aplican al servidor remoto. Por ejemplo, si el cliente que se conecta intenta solicitar el contenido de un archivo en el servidor, el cliente puede solicitar solo los archivos que tenga permisos suficientes para abrir.
