(CHN) Main account hierarchy (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Click General ledger > Setup > Chart of accounts > Chart of accounts. Select an existing chart of accounts or create a new chart of accounts, and click Hierarchy setup.

Use this form to create and define account number formats for account levels. This form is available only when the Chart of accounts form is empty. For more information, see Configurar un plan contable.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Main accounts hierarchy	Set up parameters to define the hierarchical tree structure for the main account.
Account number formats	Set up parameters to define parameters for the new account number format.

Fields

Field	Description
Maximum length	The maximum length for a ledger account format. The default value is 20.
Maximum level	Enter the maximum number of ledger account levels for the account tree hierarchy. The total number of ledger account levels must not exceed the specified maximum level.
Separator	Select None, Space, Dash, Slash, or Dot as the symbol to separate the account levels.
Preview	Preview the ledger account format.
Remaining length	The number of characters that remain for the ledger account format.
Remaining levels	The number of ledger account levels that remain for the account tree hierarchy.
Length	Enter the maximum length for the specified account level that will be used in the account number format.
Level	Enter the account number level to set up the account number format.
Name	Enter the name of the account level.
Reference	Select a chart of accounts.
