(IND) Related items (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2
Click Inventory management > Setup > EXIM > SION. In the SION form, on the Lines FastTab, click SION Items. In the SION Items form, select a product that is assigned a basis of Pct. of input, and then click Related items.
Use this form to select related items for the items that are set up for Standard Input Output Norms (SION). The related items are used to determine the importable quantity of other items that are included in the same bill of materials (BOM).
Nota
If the allowable importable quantity of an item that is included in a BOM is dependent on the import of another item that is included in the same BOM, the dependent item is considered to be a related item. For example, an export manufacturer of shoes consumes 2.2 pounds of rubber sole to manufacture 15 pairs of shoes, per the SION. The manufacturer is allowed to import heels based on the consumption of rubber sole. In this scenario, the heels are the input item for the shoes, and the rubber sole is the related item.
