Production journal names (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Production journal names.

Use this form to set up journals to record actual production consumption. You assign a name from one of the four journal types that are available.

Note

Assign a unique name to each journal to prevent more than one person from working in the same journal at the same time.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tab	Description
General tab	View the details about the journal. Details include voucher information, posting details, and whether the journal is blocked or set to private use.

Button	Description
Wizard	Use the wizard to create a production journal name and to set up the categories that reflect your voucher and posting forms. Journals can be created to show weekly or monthly intervals.

Field	Description
Name	The name of the journal.
Description	The description of the journal.
Voucher series	Select the voucher series to use for the journal.
Journal type	The type of production journal.
Selection by	Indicate when a new voucher number is automatically picked. Select one of the following options: Posting Entry
New voucher by	Select when a new voucher is allocated.
Detail level	Select the level of detail for the journal information that is posted. The options are as follows: Details – Multiple journal lines are posted individually. Summary – Multiple journal lines are summarized and then posted.
Delete lines after posting	Select this check box to delete the journal lines after they are posted.
Private for user group	The user group that has exclusive use of the journal.
