Adición de tipos MIME de IE 9 a IIS 7

La versión preliminar de Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) versión 9 incluye compatibilidad con tipos MIME adicionales para aplicaciones multimedia enriquecidas. Para admitir los tipos MIME adicionales, deben agregarse al servidor IIS.

En IE 9 se admiten los siguientes tipos MIME adicionales:

.xht application/xhtml+xml
.xhtml application/xhtml+xml

Para agregar estos tipos MIME al servidor IIS, puede hacer lo siguiente:

Uso del script AddMimeTypes

También puede usar el script incluido en este artículo para agregar los tipos MIME en versiones de Windows, incluido Windows 2000 y versiones posteriores. El script usa WMI y agregará los tipos MIME en un servidor local o remoto.

Para agregar tipos MIME para IE 9 al servidor IIS mediante el script AddMimeTypes:

  1. Cree un nuevo archivo de script mediante la herramienta de creación o un editor de texto.

  2. Copie el contenido del archivo de script de la sección siguiente.

  3. Pegue el contenido del script en el nuevo archivo de script.

  4. Guarde el archivo de script como AddMimeTypes.vbs.

  5. En un símbolo del sistema, escriba el siguiente comando:

    cscript AddMimeTypes.vbs [RemoteServerName]

    Reemplace [RemoteServerName]> por el nombre del equipo remoto al que desea agregar los tipos MIME.

    Nota:

    Si la carpeta en la que se guarda el archivo de script no se incluye en la variable de entorno Path, debe especificar la ruta de acceso completa al script en el comando o cambiar los directorios a la carpeta antes de ejecutar el comando.

  6. Compruebe que los tipos MIME se hayan agregado mediante el Administrador de IIS.
