New Features

  • More operations for the SharePoint connector, which come with dynamic inputs and outputs, are now available out of the box as native actions for desktop flows.

  • The action Requeue item and add delay has also been introduced in preview under the Work queues group of actions, to enable the respective functionality out of the box in desktop flows.

  • Microsoft Forms, OneDrive and RSS are the latest connectors that come down to Power Automate for desktop, with multiple operations now being available out of the box as native actions for desktop flows.

Enhancements & Improvements

  • Deprecated connector operations that may be used in desktop flows are now handled as expected, throwing the respective warning as well.

  • A new troubleshooting category on SAP automation has been added to the UI/Web automation diagnostic of the troubleshooter.

  • New warning statuses and messages have been added to the potential issues that may be found in the Web, Java, and RDP/Citrix UI automation categories of the troubleshooter. In addition, these diagnostics can now be re-run immediately after applying the proposed fix.

  • In the ‘Extract data from web page’ action, a new parameter has been added that allows to send a physical click to visit the next page, when multiple pages are involved in the data extraction.

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:

  • Special characters appearing in the articles, which are shown in the home screen of the console under ‘What’s new’, are now properly visible.

  • Some fields, which were shown in the properties of the desktop flows in the console and only apply to premium users, have now been hidden from Windows users.

  • Refreshing the flows list in the console immediately after renaming a flow now doesn’t produce an error.

  • The option ‘Remove all breakpoints’ under Debug in the flow designer is no longer enabled, when there are no breakpoints in the flow.

  • An issue with the horizontal scrollbar in dynamic lists of dropdown input parameters, not resetting to the initial position after being moved to the right, has now been resolved.

  • Flow variables are now sorted automatically in alphabetical order, even after being renamed.

  • Validation errors in actions’ erroneous input parameters are now cleared immediately upon typing a new character or selecting a variable.

  • The unexpected indentation that sometimes occurred in the body of the ‘Send email’ action, in case of a multi-line text, has now been resolved.

  • An issue that occurred during Java automation, which could cause the Java app to crash upon the execution of a relevant action, has now been resolved.

  • HTML dialogs in web pages launched in IE mode are now normally visible in the tree of the built-in tool that allows users to inspect UI elements.

  • The performance and behavior of the recorder, when used on a form with multiple input fields that are populated through fast, successive keystrokes, has now been improved.
