Remove-MsolDomain

The Remove-MsolDomain cmdlet is used to delete a domain from the . The domain being deleted must be empty; that is, there cannot be any users or groups with email addresses in this domain.

Syntax

Remove-MsolDomain -DomainName <string> [-Force] [-TenantId <Guid>] [<CommonParameters>]

Parameters

    -DomainName <string>
        The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) to remove.

    -Force [<SwitchParameter>]
        Used to bypass onscreen confirmation.

    -TenantId <Guid>
        The unique ID of the tenant to perform the operation on. If this is 
        not provided then the value will default to the tenant of the current 
        user. This parameter is only applicable to partner users.

    <CommonParameters>
        This cmdlet supports the common parameters: Verbose, Debug,

Examples

The following command attempts to remove the domain contoso.com. The command fails if there are any users or groups that reference the domain.

Remove-MsolDomain -DomainName contoso.com -force
