MMC.exe always runs with DEP (Data Execution Protection) enabled. Snap-ins must be DEP-aware. This feature cannot be turned off, and no compatibility mode exists.

Manifestation

Snap-ins that are not DEP-aware can cause a failure to load within Microsoft Management Console (MMC) or not work properly.

Remedies

This feature cannot be turned off, and no compatibility mode exists.
