IISApp::AppDisableRecursive
The AppDisableRecursive method disables a Web application that is running, and all of its child applications. All of the application's resources are released and the application's process is terminated.

Return Value
The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, S_OK, which indicates that the method succeeded.
Remarks
Attempts to access this application will fail. You can use the AppEnableRecursive method to re-enable disabled applications. Both methods are used primarily when moving, copying, or renaming metabase keys. The AppDisableRecursive method has no effect if the applications are running in-process.
