Quaternion.Multiply Method (Quaternion)
[This documentation is for preview only, and is subject to change in later releases. Blank topics are included as placeholders.]
Multiplies the current quaternion by the specified quaternion.
Namespace: Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX
Assembly: Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX (in Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Sub Multiply ( _
q As Quaternion _
)
'Usage
Dim instance As Quaternion
Dim q As Quaternion
instance.Multiply(q)
public void Multiply(
Quaternion q
)
public:
void Multiply(
Quaternion q
)
member Multiply :
q:Quaternion -> unit
Parameters
- q
Type: Microsoft.WindowsMobile.DirectX.Quaternion
Source Quaternion structure.
Remarks
Transformations are concatenated in the same order for the Multiply and Multiply methods.
In the following example, assuming that mX and mY represent the same rotations as qX and qY, both m and q represent the same rotations.
m = Matrix.Multiply(mX, mY)
q = Quaternion.Multiply(qX, qY)
The multiplication of quaternions is not commutative. The order in which they are multiplied is important.
