Missing recovery points |
If a scheduled recovery point creation and a synchronization/consistency check for a client are run concurrently, the recovery point creation is skipped. |
To avoid the loss of a recovery point for such clients, schedule an additional recovery point creation at a low usage time so the client computers that miss the recovery point creation have a recovery point created later. |
Backups of client computers connected to corporate network through DirectAccess failure with RPC server unavailable error. |
Edge traversal is blocked in the firewall settings. |

When trying to retrieve information from the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service on <ServerName>, access was denied. |
This error can occur when you attempt to add a computer that is running Windows XP SP3 to the DPM server and a Group Policy policy setting is blocking the WMI service on the targeted computer. |
