Updated: February 1, 2011
Applies To: Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG)
The topic describes how to configure Forefront TMG for a workgroup deployment, following an installation of Forefront TMG.
In a workgroup deployment, you must install a server authentication certificate on the Forefront TMG computer to enable communication between the configuration storage server and the Forefront TMG servers.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you complete the steps described in Preparing for installation in a workgroup environment.
To install a storage server certificate
In the Forefront TMG Management console, in the tree, click the System node, and in the details pane, click the Servers tab.
In the Tasks tab, click Install Server Certificate.
Browse for the server certificate which you created when preparing your workgroup environment. See Creating certificates.
Verify that the Automatically create the root CA certificate on this array manager check box is selected.
Note
Other Forefront TMG servers in the array must have the root CA certificate issued from the same CA as this server certificate.
