RASAMB structure
[Not supported after Windows 2000.]
The RASAMB structure contains the result of a remote access server (RAS) Authentication Message Block (AMB) projection operation.
The RasGetProjectionInfo function returns a RASAMB data structure when its rasprojection parameter has the value RASP_Amb.
Syntax
typedef struct _RASAMB {
DWORD dwSize;
DWORD dwError;
TCHAR szNetBiosError[NETBIOS_NAME_LEN + 1];
BYTE bLana;
} RASAMB;
Members
dwSize
Specifies the size of the structure, in bytes. Before calling the RasGetProjectionInfo function, set this member to sizeof(RASAMB). The function can then determine the version of the RASAMB data structure that the caller of RasGetProjectionInfo is expecting. This allows backward compatibility for compiled applications if there are future enhancements to the data structure.dwError
Contains the result of the PPP control protocol negotiation. A value of zero indicates success. A nonzero value indicates failure, and is the actual fatal error that occurred during the control protocol negotiation, the error that prevented the projection from completing successfully.szNetBiosError
If dwError has the value ERROR_NAME_EXISTS_ON_NET, the szNetBiosError field contains a zero-terminated string that is the NetBIOS name that caused the conflict. For other values of dwError, this field contains the null string.bLana
Specifies the NetBIOS network adapter identifier, or LANA, on which the remote access connection was established. This member contains the value 0xFF if a connection was not established.
Remarks
The AMB protocol is used with servers that were released before PPP was adopted as the primary framing protocol.
