Connector queues are system-generated queues used for passing messages from Message Queuing to a foreign site. Message Queuing creates a transactional and a nontransactional connector queue on a connector server for each foreign site associated with it.

When messages are sent to foreign queues, Message Queuing intercepts the messages on the connector server and places them in the appropriate set of connector queues. The connector application on the connector server must remove the messages from the connector queues, process them, and then pass the messages on to the foreign messaging system.
