Indexing Service Object
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
The Indexing Service performance object reports statistics about the creation of indexes, and about the merging and querying of indexes by the Indexing Service.

# Documents Indexed |
Shows the number of documents indexed since the current indexing session started. This does not include the documents indexed in prior sessions of the Indexing Service. |

Deferred for Indexing |
Shows the number of documents that need to be indexed but cannot because they were in use. |

Files to be Indexed |
Shows the minimum number of documents that were known to need indexing. |

Index Size (MB) |
Shows the size, in megabytes (MB), of the content index. |

Merge Progress |
Shows the percentage of the current merge that has been completed. |
|
Running Queries |
Shows the number of queries that were running. |
|
Saved Indexes |
Shows the number of indexes that were saved. |

Total # Documents |
Shows the total number of documents known to the index. |

Total # of Queries |
Shows the total number of queries made since the index was mounted. |

Unique Keys |
Shows the number of unique words in the index. |

Word Lists |
Shows the number of word lists in the index. |
