Software Inventory Logging Cmdlets

This reference provides cmdlet descriptions and syntax for all Software Inventory Logging-specific cmdlets. It lists the cmdlets in alphabetical order based on the verb at the beginning of the cmdlet. Cmdlets in this module are available on Windows Server 2012 R2; this module is not available on Windows 8.1, or Windows client-based operating systems.

Cmdlet Description

Get-SilComputer

Displays the point in time values for specific server and operating system-related data.

Get-SilComputerIdentity

Gets IDs that identify a Windows installation.

Get-SilData

Displays a point in time collection of Software Inventory Logging data.

Get-SilLogging

Displays configuration settings for Software Inventory Logging.

Get-SilSoftware

Displays the point in time identity of all software installed on the host server.

Get-SilUalAccess

Displays the total number of unique client device requests and client user requests of the server from two days prior.

Get-SilWindowsUpdate

Displays the point in time list of all Windows updates installed on the host server.

Publish-SilData

Initiates a point in time collection of Software Inventory Logging data and forwards it, along with any accumulated historical data, to the aggregation server.

Set-SilLogging

Applies configuration settings for Software Inventory Logging.

Start-SilLogging

Starts Software Inventory Logging hourly logging.

Stop-SilLogging

Stops Software Inventory Logging hourly logging.

To list all the cmdlets that are available, use the Get-Command –Module SoftwareInventoryLogging cmdlet.
